Al Jefferson has taken over at center
When Kendrick Perkins got injured the Celtics needed someone to step-up and Jefferson has seized the starting job for the Celtics. Perkins picked a bad time to get hurt as he will now return to being a backup. In his last 7 games, Jefferson has averaged 15.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.6 blocks per game. If Jefferson can keep this up, and there is no reason to think he can’t, the Celtics have a huge building block for their future.
