The Boston Celtics’ rookies have run hot and cold this season
The Celtics rookies have been very active on the court but they haven’t shot the ball too well. Rajon Rondo (37.9%) and Allen Ray (37.2%) have been the main offenders. Rondo has played in 65 games this season and he’s averaged 5.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 20.8 minutes per game. He’s been a stellar defender but he has a ways to go to be a good offensive player for the Celtics. Allen Ray has started to get a little more playing time as of late but he’s only averaged 5.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. Leon Powe hasn’t got much of a chance to play but it looks as if he’s got some game. He has played in 50 games and he’s averaging 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in only 9.5 minutes per game. The Celtics should be playing him more and Brian Scalabrine less.
