Boston Celtics 104, Atlanta Hawks 81

The Celtics won this game because of their defense as they held the Hawks to 38.2% shooting from the floor last night. The Celtics spread out the scoring well last night as six players finished in double figures. Ray Allen led the way for the Celtics last night with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Garnett also had a decent game with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Paul Pierce pitched in with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo had an excellent game as he finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Not only did Rondo play well on offense but he shut Mike Bibby down on defense. Leon Powe and Sam Cassell each pitched in with 10 points apiece off the bench. The Celtics are now up 1-0 in this series.
