Boston Celtics 76, Cleveland Cavaliers 72
The Celtics played stout defense and that’s the big reason for the win on Wednesday Night as they held the Cavs to 30.7% shooting from the floor. Kevin Garnett had a huge game as he finished up with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Rajon Rondo was a ball of energy on the floor as he finished up with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Sam Cassell hit a couple of really big three point shots late in the game and he finished with 13 points and 2 rebounds. The Celtics were lucky to get great play out of their point guards because Paul Pierce and Ray Allen shot an awful 2 for 18 from the floor as they combined for 4 points. Still, the Celtics did a great job of playing defense against LeBron James as he only hit 2 of 18 shots from the floor and turned the ball over 10 times. The Celtics are now up 1-0 in this series.
