The Celtics won a hard fought game today to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pistons. They did it by outrebounding the Cavs 39-29 and also because of Paul Pierce who had an amazing game. Pierce shot 13 of 23 from the floor as he finished up with 41 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Kevin Garnett did a solid job inside as he finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists. P.J. Brown pitched in off the bench with 10 points and 6 rebounds in only 20 minutes. The Celtics won this series 4-3.

Cleveland Cavaliers 74, Boston Celtics 69

The game on Friday Night was painful for the eyes to watch as the Cavs only shot 32.9% from the floor while the Celtics countered with 39.7% shooting. The Celtics were also outrebounded 45-37 and it hurt them in the end. Kevin Garnett led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. Paul Pierce pitched in with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Ray Allen had another pitiful game as he only shot 3 of 8 from the floor and finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. This loss forces a Game #7 in Boston later today.

The Boston Celtics rebounded with a hard fought win on Wednesday Night in Boston. Paul Pierce had a great game as he led the way for the Celtics with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Kevin Garnett stuffed the stat sheet with 26 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocked shots. Rajon Rondo was outstanding running the Celtics’ offense as he finished with 20 points, 2 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. The Celtics pulled ahead 3-2 in this series with the win at home.

Cleveland Cavaliers 88, Boston Celtics 77

The Cavs outscored the Celtics 20-12 in the 4th quarter last Monday on their way to evening up the series. The Celtics just couldn’t shoot the ball against the Cavaliers as they only shot 38.6% from the floor. Kevin Garnett led the way for the Celtics in this game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Ray Allen had one of his best games of this series as he finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo had a decent game with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Paul Pierce had a rough time in this one as he was 6 of 17 shooting from the floor and finished with 3 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. The Celtics were tied up at 2 games apiece after this one.

The Celtics never really had a chance in this game after the Cavs jumped them 32-13 in the first quarter. Kevin Garnett led the way for the Celtics last night with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Paul Pierce had a so-so game as he finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Kendrick Perkins had his best game of the series with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in only 26 minutes on the court. The Celtics still are up 2-1 in this series.

GAME TWO: Boston Celtics 89, Cleveland Cavaliers 73

The Celtics dominated the game from the opening tip off last Thursday Night in Boston. Paul Pierce led the way for the Celtics with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. He also helped hold LeBron James to 6 of 24 shooting from the floor. Ray Allen also had a solid game with 16 points, 3 assists and 2 steals. Kevin Garnett was solid around the basket with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. This win put the Celtics up 2-0 in this series.
