Doc Rivers looks to keep everything rolling for the Boston Celtics this season
Doc Rivers led the Celtics to the NBA Championship just two years ago and he hopes to get back to the promised land in 2009-2010. The Celtics will have no excuses this season (even injuries) as they have loaded up the bench with quality players. Rivers led the Celtics to a 62-20 record last season (75.6%) and they were 7-7 (50%) in the post season. I hate to say it but that just isn’t good enough for the NBA’s version of the New York Yankees. In Rivers’ five years with the Celtics he has compiled a regular season record of 230-180 (56.1%) and he has a post season record of 26-21 (55.3%) with them. Rivers has essentially an All-Star team in Boston so he should be able to pad his career coaching numbers this season. He has a 401-348 (53.5%) career record as an NBA coach in the regular season and he is 31-31 (50%) in the post season.
