The Celtics punished the Heat yesterday as they were beating them 80-56 after three quarters before calling off the dogs.  Paul Pierce led the way for the Celtics with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.  Brandon Bass (16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) and Rajon Rondo (16 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists) also had rock solid games for the Celtics yesterday.  Avery Bradley (13 points) and Kevin Garnett (10 points) also pitched in for the Celtics last night.  The Celtics are now 30-22 on the year.

The Celtics held the T-Wolves to 34.7% shooting from the floor and it was the biggest factor in the dominating road win last night.  Kevin Garnett (24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot) and Paul Pierce (21 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Celtics last night.  Avery Bradley turned in another solid effort as the starting shooting guard last night as he finished up with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals.  Brandon Bass (12 points and 6 rebounds) and Rajon Rondo (6 points, 6 rebounds, 17 assists and 3 steals) also pitched in with solid games last night.  The Celtics are now 29-22 on the year.

21-year old PG/SG Avery Bradley has stepped up in his last three games, as he has been the starting shooting guard with Ray Allen out of action due to injury.  In his last three games, Bradley is averaging 41 minutes, 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.  He has now played in 48 games (13 starts) for the Celtics so far this year and he is averaging 17.4 minutes, 5.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.  If Bradley keeps playing well, the Celtics will likely give Bradley a bump in P.T. coming off the bench when Allen returns to action.

The Celtics just don’t like using their rookies much.  26-year old, undrafted rookie center Greg Stiemsma has gotten the most run of the rookies for the Celtics so far this year.  He has played in 41 games (1 start) for the Celtics so far this year and he is averaging 11.9 minutes, 2.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 1.4 blocked shots per game.  23-year old power forward JaJuan Johnson has also had some decent games this year.  He has played in 27 games (0 starts) for the Celtics so far this year and he is averaging 8.4 minutes, 3.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game.  23-year old shooting guard E’Twaun Moore has played in 28 games (0 starts) for the Celtics so far this year and he is averaging 8.4 minutes, 2.8 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.  Part of the reason the Celtics aren’t letting him play too much is because he is only shooting 37.8% from the floor.

The Celtics held off the pesky Bobcats in Charlotte last night.  Paul Pierce led the way for the Celtics last night with 36 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocked shots.  Kevin Garnett also had a solid game with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot in this game.  Brandon Bass (15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) and Avery Bradley (11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Celtics last night.  The Celtics are now 27-22 on the year.

The Celtics held the Wizards to 34.5% shooting from the floor and it helped them to an easy win last night.  Avery Bradley led the way for the Celtics last night with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 40 minutes on the floor.  Paul Pierce also had a solid game with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.  Brandon Bass (11 points), Kevin Garnett (10 points) and Greg Stiemsma (10 points) also pitched in for the Celtics last night.  The Celtics are now 26-22 on the year.
