GAME #7: Los Angeles Lakers 83, Boston Celtics 79

The Celtics played great defense holding the Lakers to 32.5% shooting from the floor and it still wasn’t enough to win the game. The Celtics were outscored 30-22 in the 4th quarter last night and they were outrebounded 53-40 in the game which were the biggest reasons for the loss. Paul Pierce only shot 5 of 15 from the floor as he finished up with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Garnett was outplayed by Pau Gasol but he still finished up with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocked shots. Rajon Rondo did his part finishing with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. The Lakers win the NBA Finals 4-3.

GAME #6: Los Angeles Lakers 89, Boston Celtics 67

The Celtics only shot 33.3% from the floor last night and they were outrebounded 52-39 which explains the beatdown they took in L.A. Ray Allen led the way for the Celtics last night with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Paul Pierce didn’t have his best game finishing with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Garnett pitched in with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo only shot 5 of 15 from the floor but he still finished up with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. This series is now tied at 3 games apiece with a winner take all showdown tomorrow night in L.A.

GAME #5: Boston Celtics 92, Los Angeles Lakers 86

The Celtics shot 56.3% from the floor last night while the Lakers only shot 39.7% from the floor and those were the big reasons for the big win for the Celtics last night. Paul Pierce came alive last night leading the way for the Celtics with 27 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots. Kevin Garnett also had a great game with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocked shots. Rajon Rondo filled up the stat sheet with the Celtics with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot last night. Ray Allen pitched in with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. The Celtics are now up 3-2 on the Lakers as the series shifts to L.A.

GAME #4: Boston Celtics 96, Los Angeles Lakers 89

The Celtics outrebounded the Lakers 41-34 last night but it wasn’t until the 4th quarter when they outscored the Lakers 36-27 that the game was decided. Paul Pierce led the way for the Celtics last night with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. Kevin Garnett pitched in with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot in 27 minutes on the floor. Ray Allen (12 points) and Rajon Rondo (10 points) helped out a little bit. But this game was won because of the bench as Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Nate Robinson gave the Celtics a huge boost off the bench. Davis only played 22 minutes last night but that didn’t stop him from scoring 18 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and stealing the ball twice. Nate Robinson was also electric off the bench with 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in only 17 minutes. The Celtics have tied up the NBA Finals at 2 games apiece.

GAME #3: Los Angeles Lakers 91, Boston Celtics 84

The Celtics showed heart last night as they cut a 17-point Lakers’ lead to 1 in the 4th quarter but they still fell short. The Celtics were outrebounded 43-35 last night and it didn’t help matters at all. Kevin Garnett finally showed up in this series as he led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Paul Pierce didn’t have his best game last night finishing with 15 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Glen “Big Baby” Davis was tough especially in the 4th quarter as he finished up with 12 points and 3 rebounds in only 24 minutes on the floor. Rajon Rondo wasn’t as electric as usual last night as he finished up with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. The Celtics are now down 2-1 in this series.
